We are Team MAX 1071

Team MAX is a FIRST® Robotics Competition team based in Wolcott, CT, founded in 2003. In addition to numerous local initiatives, Team MAX members have traveled across the world to spread STEM. Because of this plethora of efforts, our team has won at least one award every year since 2010, including the most prestigious FIRST Impact Award on multiple occasions.

Awards

Since our founding, we have won more than 30 awards at official events, including twelve blue banners. Some notable are three Event Winners, eight Chairman's/FIRST Impact Awards, a Woodie Flowers Finalist Award, two Engineering Inspiration Awards, and a Dean's List Finalist Award. Outreach

In partnership with the Wolcott Robotics Foundation, we consistently operate more than ten robotics teams for younger students in Wolcott, and assist teams outside of Wolcott as well. Additionally, we operate programs that help advance STEM in our community and around the world. For example, our Let's Make Stuff program gives students the opportunity to create take-home projects like terrariums or rubber band helicopters.
